Our range of shock absorbers for Road Race Motorcycles has been developed from our successful motocross designs, so toughness and durability have already been built in. The fully rebuildable units are all oil damped and gas assisted and use modern low-friction materials on all seals, bushes and piston rings. Aluminium has been used for as many components as possible and represents a considerable weight saving over our steel bodied versions. For example, aluminium units for a Manx Norton weigh just 1.96Kg per pair complete. (4.31 lbs) We use a unique three stage damping system on compression and rebound which, if necessary, can be fine-tuned to suit personal requirements. Shock lengths are available from 11" to 14.9" centres in 1/4" steps, with 3" of travel and 12" to 16.9" centres in 1/4" steps, with 4" of travel. Certain lengths are available with rebound damping adjuster. We always hold a wide range of springs to match your rider weight. All our aluminium units are clear anodised with satin black powder coated springs, with the exception of the Manx Norton shocks which are black anodised and our 4" travel shocks which have chrome plated springs. |
