SETTING THE PRELOAD |
|||||
Selecting the correct spring rate is very important, as balanced with the preload gives you the correct ride height at the rear of your bike. A heaver rider will need a stronger spring to give you the same result. |

AS A GUIDE |
|||||
When you stand along side the bike push down on the seat to compress the suspension. Now remove the pressure on the seat the suspension should return to the top of its travel without topping out. Measure the spring length, then put your weight on the foot pegs - This setup will NOT WORK sitting on the seat, it must be weight on the foot pegs. Measure the spring length again and the difference between the two dimensions should be about 25mm or 1"inch. | |||||
